Florida Georgia Line scores their first ever Chart #1 as artists with ?Cruise.? The song is the lead single from their December 4, 2012 release? Here?s To The Good Times, their first album for Big Loud Mountain/Republic Nashville!
After a few weeks of Taylor Swift domination of the digital single charts, things are basically back to normal as the Country/Pop star down to ?only 3? songs in this week?s Top 30 and for the first time in weeks, she?s not the artist with the best-selling digital single this week. That distinction belongs to Florida Georgia Line with their debut single ?Cruise.? This nearly Platinum single has made the band one of the break-out stars of 2012 and certainly artists to watch in 2013. Swift sits at #2 with the divisive ?We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together? while Hunter Hayes is up a ?slot to #3 with ?Wanted? while Carrie Underwood?s ?Blown Away? is next. The Top 5 is rounded out by the fun ?Better Dig Two,? the lead single from Republic Nashville?s The Band Perry.
Kelly Clarkson leads second half of Top 10 with Vince Gill-featured ?Don?t Rush.? Gary Allan Jumps back into Top 10 with ?Every Storm? as well.
44,000 fans took home ?Don?t Rush? this week to give Kelly Clarkson?s new country single with Vince Gill 85,000 in two weeks and it was one of a few singles to climb in sales this week after the massive sales reach of the CMA Awards last week. Lee Brice is next with ?Hard To Love? and the singer?s soon to be Platinum single will be followed-up at radio soon by the emotional ?I Drove Your Truck.? Gary Allan?s ?Every Storm (Runs Out Of Rain)? is next at #8 with sales of 36,000 (a 5,000 improvement last week) to leap 9 slots into the Top 10. It?s now sold over 204,000 singles since being released, a strong return for the veteran hitmaker. Luke Bryan?s about a week away from another Gold single with this week?s airplay #1 hit ?Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye? sitting at #9. Little Big Town?s Pontoon is next at #10 and the CMA Single of the Year is well on its way to multi-platinum
Little Big Town?s ?Tornado? and Hunter Hayes ?Somebody?s Heartbreak? Risers of the Week.
Brad Paisley?s ?Southern Comfort Zone,? Little Big Town?s Tornado, Jason Aldean/Luke Bryan/Eric Church?s ?The Only Way I Know,? Eric Church?s ?Creepin?,? Randy Houser?s ?How Country Feels? and Justin Moore?s ?Til My Last Day? all experience major chart movement this week. ?Tornado? looks well on its way to becoming the latest big digital single hit for The CMA?s Top Vocal Group this year while Houser returns to the Top 30 after one week away. Rascal Flatt?s ?Come Wake Me Up? is next with sales approaching Gold, proving that they?ve still got the goods at retail (even if album sales are slowing down for ?em). Hunter Hayes debuts in the Top 30 with his latest hit single, ?Soembody?s Heartbreak.? The single gained 4,000 in sales and jumped from 52 to #29 this week.?
Other songs worth noting outside the Top 30 include KaceyMusgrave?s ?Merry Go ?Round, a song which has now sold 77,000 singles and should debut in the Top 30 next week. Kenny Chesney?s ?El Cerrito Place? will likely get there soon as well. Thomas Rhett?s ?Beer With Jesus? is on its way up too (from 53 to 37) and has sold 87,000 copies.
