Popgadget Personal Technology for Women: Open source iNecklace

iNecklace by Adafruit from adafruit industries on Vimeo.

The iNecklace from Adafruit Industries is a quirky little flashing on/off button pendant, which I can imagine would make a cute novelty present.

However, interestingly the iNecklace is completely open source, meaning the source code, circuit board files and CAD files can be hacked and altered in any way you please, making it a little different to your usual geeky gift.

On another note, why do so many companies feel they have to add the "i" prefix onto their products?!

Available from Adafruit for $75.
